This is one of my favorite Indian Head cents residing in my collection. It's toned a beautiful deep red with purple and blue. The luster is fantastic and the surfaces are very clean. The photos aren't the best but I have trouble sometimes photographing coins with strong luster. What do people think? Does this have a shot as "MS-66 RB"? I am definitely going to submit this coin to NGC. Paul Bulgerin

Only one word for this piece...WOW! I'm saying MS66 minimum and 67 is very possible. Its just a beautifully struck coin. Tough to call the color but based on the pics it looks RB

Thanks for the response. The coin, simply put, is GORGEOUS!! The luster is the strongest I've seen on any Indian Head cent I've personally looked at. I've taken about forty photos trying to capture its true color, but haven't been able to get shots I like. The color is a deeper red than shows in the photos with blue on the headdress and red running through the OF of the legend. I am definitely going to submit this one for grading. I've checked NGC's population census and they have only graded eight 1907 coins "MS-66 RB".

You have every reason to like to your 1907 IHC. It is very nice. What it grades, I do not know, but 'way up there' for sure.

Another nice coin Paul.. It looks MS-66 to me too, but like panzaldi said, can't really tell from the photos if it's RB or BN but a beauty...

After 100+ years, it really is amazing how good of shape this coin has been kept in. Numismedia has it listed at $494 for it to be MS66RB.

Definitely a RB coin but still can't tell from pics as to grade. I'd say it has a nice shot.

This will be interesting for me to follow. Looking at the first set of pics I would say there's no way this doesn't get a details grade as cleaned but none of your pics are really good enough to tell.

I've taken about 70 shots under different lighting and still can't get one that makes me happy and truly shows the coin as it is.
I'm going to send it to NGC for grading and think I will pay for their photographic service as well since I can't get a good shot. From the information on their site they charge $15 for a high resolution PDF image of the coin.
I only paid $34 for the coin, so I figure it's worth the NGC investment money to see what they say.

The surface looks artificial.

It's heading off to NGC tomorrow, along with five other coins.
We'll see what they say. My fingers are crossed.

IndianGoldEagle and myself are seeing a totally different coin than everybody else so this will be very informative for me. Hope I'm wrong and it grades for you.
