Quote: Just wondering if there were any CC dollars or Henning nickels Quote: Were there any scarcer dates among the silver dollars? To answer both questions, I'm afraid not. The two 1934-S Peace dollars were the only semi-key dates. There was an 1895 Morgan dollar without a mint mark, but I threw it out. There's no way a proof Morgan would be in there.

From the appearance and quality, the bag containing the silver was most likely stashed away in the early to mid 1960's. Most of it was probably retrieved from circulation with the exception of the roll of 64 Kennedys in BU.
Great find!

You can still find Rexalls all over Edmonton - one of our big arenas is sponsored and named "Rexall Place". Maybe the chain was exiled to Canada?

The last pic, where you show the rosie's toning behind that paper strip, wicked! Congrats, and thanks for helping those folks out!

"Since 1985, it has been the name of over-the-counter drugs and drugstores in Canada operated by the Katz Group of Companies, and of health supplements in the United States. The Canadian Rexall brand is not related to the US operations."

The fact that it's a pretty random hoard that has some hundred year old stuff is awesome! Incredible!

Think about the lady that held this through the last few decades of her life. There may have been times she needed the money, but chose to save this.
Nice find, and a prayer for her that has passed.

Quite a cool find! I love the smell of dirty silver I remember seeing lots of Rexalls around central Arkansas when I was a kid. Been years now since I've seen one though.
