I'm always looking for this Lincoln, whether it be for the very scarce DDO or to perhaps ad another uncommon Cent to the collection. This Cent has a little TLC in order but I think the definition isn't too shabby. I believe it may have potential for a DDO but am going to keep the optimism low considering there aren't more than 50 or so out there, from what I hear.

the 1970 numbers do look a little thick, but where are you seeing a DDO?

Yes good point it is a large date. Overlooked the nine and focused on Liberty. You got me lol! Anyway, the easiest thing I can do for now is show a comparison with another 1970 s (large date) I'll try to post pics when the possible doubling is more concrete and free of dirt and what not. Thanks for the input and interest!

I have a 1970 S and trying to determine whether it is large or small date. Can you tell by where the S is located? From the examples I have seen, the S is located further away from date and not as close under like the large date...can you use the location as a determination factor?

I've seen different mint mark locations for the small date. It is the date itself that makes it a small date.
