Hey there everyone, now is the time to post your dream error planchet collection. Such as Clipped Planchets (Mine), webbing, waffled coins, mules, broadstrucks, or off center. SPP and Scissel I know for sure you have some! Mine is a complete set of all Clipped Canadian Planchets!

I would like to have a little of everything in every denomination. When collecting errors why limit yourself to just one kind.

yes I agree! but it would be cool to have 1 amazing collection of 1 error would it not.
But then on the other hand there is a cool factor of having a good variety of errors!

This is in the Canadian section but can an error coin be featured? This new member "offstoke" has some AMAZING coins and I would love to see him post some more stuff!

Quote: Mine is a complete set of all Clipped Canadian Planchets! That's difficult but not impossible. It sounds like a great collecting goal! I've scaled back my error collection quite a bit. I learned a lot & now I just have few sets that I'm still working on. My favorites are round-the-clock sets of: 1c 1980 clips, 1c 1980 double clips, and 25c 1973 clips. It's hard to tell when those sets will be "complete". Maybe when they are all upgraded to full reds & uncs (like probably never ).

Tough one to answer because in the error world, you never know what dieection the next find will take you! I have always wanted to put together an error date set for 1967 which is my birth year, one of the most interesting years with the commemorative designs, and with lots of potential errors (helping hands or not!) I bet SPP could put together my dream set in about 10 minutes starting with that clipped 1cent still in the packaging
