I can see what looks like some small rub spots in the hair to left of the ear and below it also a small spot in the bun of the hair. I'm thinking AU-50 to be safe maybe even AU-55 over all still nice coin

Just the tiniest of rubs, nice coin ICCS Au 58 would be my guess in a PCGS or NGC holder 62 is not out of the question!

Au58 at the least. I see portions of the original copper-y color, so I am going in the low Ms grades, imo.
I am not a professional grader, but regardless, it looks like a nice coin.

grading a high grade coin with pictures is such a crap shoot, but I'll go MS62 or even 63. Beautiful coin. I like the doubled N

great eye appeal, I wonder if the few contact marks on the obverse would slide under the radar for a low MS grade/barring that, then a 59

I side with Pacific here. One of my New Years resolution is not to directly mention specific grades, purely based on Images, anymore. It is usually just a guess. So I say this: it is a beautiful 1859, Narrow "half" low 9 in a highly desirable grade! and, I should own this coin!

Slight rub/wear to the left of the ear and a rub on the cheek and that's it. Lot's of luster in the protected areas..
"Very desirable" and tough to find in such a nice high grade..I wonder how many of the RP "N" variety are available in such a high grade..? Rob must have a fair guesstimate on this one..
You heard from the internet pic experts here....now.. how do you grade it..?
As usual..thanks for the super pics ..again..
