He has other stuff for sale too. Ouch.

At least to my eye, the obverse actually looks decent.

Chin looks wrong to me as does the lower portion of the neck where it dips downs before the date.

But I'm no expert on detecting fakes....

I might throw a bid in on this.

Provided it doesn't disappear before the auction ends when the little [REDACTED] is caught. :-)

You guys are so cynical ......... his great grandfather could have visited New Orleans from China back in 1921. While here, he could have picked up a roll of Morgans for spending cash. After spending four dollars on food, lodging and souvenirs, he probably couldn't find a bank that would exchange dollars back into Hsu Shih dollars, so he took them back with him. His great grandson just found them in an old box and is now trying to sell them.

Hey ......... it could happen

94.7% feedback, China?

ebay needs to start policing every coin auction from China (to start with) and killing every one they see like this and permanently ban the seller's IP aaddress.
Otherwise, this will continue.

The 1921-O was produced at the super-secret Oregon mint for only 2 weeks in July of 1921. The coins were minted on equipment provided by the Italian mafia and were made from 91% silver. The design was slightly modified to alert those in the know of the increased silver content. The coins were used to pay off certain aliens who threatened to topple a certain less than vertical tower if the Italian government did not pay them in silver dollar sized disks of 91% silver they needed to fuel their intergalactic trans warp turbo drives.
It is thought that the Italian mafia kingpin who brokered the deal, Don Giovani Geppetto Linguini, skimmed an unspecified number of these silver disks from the final shipment to said aliens and spirited them away to an unnamed Asian country.
It is believed by researchers that the shortage was not noticed for approximately ten of our years. The aliens returned to earth during the height of the fighting of World War Two and attempted to return to Italy unnoticed in small fast moving crafts that many allied pilots reported as ‘Foo Fighters'.
Don Giovani Geppetto's stash was recently rediscovered at an undisclosed location in the unnamed country after dedicated researches spent decades scouring through the remnants of the Linguini family's estate outside Palermo. The ‘coins' are being sold on ebay to raise funds for the Linguini family.

These are the special 1921 Ottawa mint coins made from melted down 1921 Canadian halves . No wonder I can't find one ! !!
C'mon ebay completely ban stuff from Chinese sellers of coins. It is OK to list this garbage ? And you will not allow real Cuban Coins minted in Philadelphia!
Rest in Peace

eBay's priority is to make money come heck or high water. Where the money comes from they do not care. A dollar made from Chinese Sellers looks the same as a dollar made from US Sellers.

Until ebay is charged with conspiracy, aiding and abetting fraudulent activity/transactions (or with something similiar) this will continue.

The old standby excuse of "we are only a venue" is not going to fly much longer. Too many people are getting burned. The clock is ticking.
