That is not 003 or even a DDO. This year is known for thick devices and worn dies on the large dates so they fool a lot of people.

The 1982 design is fairly strong in the devices. The best pick up for this die is the "LIB" area on LIBERTY:

Note how the "I" almost fills this area on LIBERTY?

Yes-that is one of two main reasons I thought mabi on this one-it was the I in LIB and the E in WE looked thicker than normal
