GR8 pix, GR58!! (sorry, couldn't resist).

I will endeavor to take some photos of some of my favorite sets tomorrow when there is daylight in my office. Most of the time I try to take pics at night with artificial light and things turn out horribly.

Sounds good CelticKnot .. I am sure we all would like to see what sets you have. I see no problem if some sets get posted more than once.

1996 - one of the sets I watch for

This sets is suppose to come with the 1996 W,
commemorative dime. The "W" dime, was only issued in this
set. Many times I see people trying to sell this set
with the "W" dime missing.

The 2009 mint set, is another sets that I watch out for.

IMO, it has a lot of coins for the price.

Wash DC and Territory quarters
Four different Lincolns, all made of pre 1982 copper
And all the coins are satin finished.

Many collectors will use mint sets to fill the empty holes in their albums. I like picking up the 1973 - 1978 sets,
when I find them at a good price ... because I like the
big Ike dollars in them.

Very informative thread for the newcomer. This could be a valuable reference
for some in the coming future. Does this site do "sticky" threads?

Here is my attempt at capturing the 2005 American Legacy Collection in photos. The set is US Mint product code: 5J3 and originally sold for $135. It contains 13 coins, including all 10 coins from the annual proof set and 2 proof commemorative coins:

2005-S Lincoln Memorial cent
2005-S Jefferson American Bison Nickel
2005-S Jefferson Ocean in View Nickel
2005-S Roosevelt dime
2005-S California Quarter
2005-S Minnesota Quarter
2005-S Oregon Quarter
2005-S Kansas Quarter
2005-S West Virginia Quarter
2005-S Kennedy half dollar
2005-S Sacagawea dollar
2005-P John Marshall Commemorative Silver Dollar (proof)
2005-P Marine Corps 230th Anniversary Commemorative Silver Dollar (proof)

The packaging consists of a large 9.25"W x 10.5"L x 1.5"D bifold album that opens side-to-side to reveal the coins in a flocked container. Descriptions of the two proof commemorative coins are on the inside covers. This album comes with a fold-out "kickstand" for display like a frame. The COA is contained in a pocket in the kickstand. The whole album is protected by a slipcover.

Nice set CelticKnot

I have thought about getting some of those, they have a 2006 at
my LCS, what holds me back is the size. For some reason I keep running
out of space to keep all my coins.

Thanks, GR58. They are definitely cool sets.

And I feel your pain on space.... OGP tends to chew up valuable safe real estate in a hurry!

In 1999 the mint started the State Quarter program.
The proofs sets went from a single lens set to a
dual lens set. Moving the quarter to it's own lens.

Post-Pictures-Of-USA-Sets-In-Original-Government-Packaging

The red and white box have the silver proof dime, quarters
and half dollar.
Post-Pictures-Of-USA-Sets-In-Original-Government-Packaging
