My local dealer mentioned Dansco is trying to decide on a new Lincoln album. I just started to upgrade my coins, and I'm looking at buying a new Dansco for them.
What i'd like is to have one book from 1909-current with proofs. I understand that would be a fat book, but what is dansco going to do? What should I buy? I know I could buy 2 books and be set, but for some reason I'm waiting to see if they put together one book!
I tried to search, but no luck to figuring this out. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Use Whitman. I've got several Lincoln Cent Albums from 09 to present. You could actually buy the cover and add all the pages you want. Not sure of Dansco but Whitman has slots for the 22 plain, 55 Double Die, 72 Double Die, etc. irritating.

my Dansco is from 09-74 and one 74-present I am not sure if anyone makes one from 09-pres you are correct that would be a big heavy book. I have one set that I put together in a black folder with them 20 coin pages in it. seems to work for me and the pages are nice also as I can see both sides of my coins and I don't have to worry about scratching the coins by pulling the plastic covers off every time I add or upgrade a coin. I just remove it and add the new. the old is still in it's flip safe and sound Gary

I'll second what Carl has said and say that I like the Whitmans. Mine is a 1909 to 1995 and only maybe just over an inch thick.

For the life of me, I cannot find an album for 8100. Lots of pages, but no album. Discontinued?

Yes, Dansco has the album (1909 to present w/ Proof) and it's called 8100. The question is where to buy for a decent price (www.tradewindssupplies.com ran out of it)?
Any ideas/inputs are greatly appreciated.

The 8100 is tough to find, but sometimes it goes up on ebay. Please note that its only 1909-2007 w/proofs. I believe you can squeeze one more page in but it would be very tough. I am hoping dansco comes out with a thicker album and does 1909-2009 at least with proofs, but only time will tell.

Unless things have changed, Dansco is no longer making the 8100. But as mentioned above, you may still find one on ebay that someone is selling out of their stock.

looks like every website I check is sold out of the 8100 also so ebay may be the best place to search for one of these albums. I would even set up a watch in my favorites so when one comes up for sale on ebay they will email you and let you know one matches your search and if you are fast enough you may be able to find one with a BIN before someone else searching for this elusive album sees the auction

I did a search and found this place has them in stock. I have Never dealt with this company so I don't know how legit they are but thought I would pass along this information to those looking for this album Edit: Oops! forgot the link http://clearwatercoin.com/clwcoinco...s-p-134.html

I'll second what Carl has said and say that I like the Whitmans. Mine is a 1909 to 1995 and only maybe just over an inch thick. There is still room to add another page for 95 to present. I actually tried to add 2 more pages but just a little to tight. You could just get a blank page from Whitman or many large coin supply stores or web sites. Also, Whitman makes sheets of Gold lettering and numbers so you can add your own dates under the additional pages. If your cheap like I am and you can find an old Cent Album you can punch holes to match your Lincoln Album if none there. Then with a Dark Blue Sharpie Brand felt tip marker, cross out the dates there and add your own. With other Albums like Mercury dimes I have actually added enough pages to make each Album a 2 set Album. Same procedure with Indian Head cents, Nickels, etc. Just a light piece of heavy paper as a divider. It's amazing what you can do with Whitman Albums.

I've got one of the 8100 and it seems the last two pages repeat themselves. Seems like a lame attempt to add the 1996-S ones into the collection on the last page just to say it includes proof Cents. Another thing I don't car for is how the book tends to fold in the center when you add coins. You may not notice it now, but later it looks unsightly.

fold in the center? please explain - my album is nearly full from the 1930's forward and I don't understand your statement.

Hi all, I had been in email exchange with Candy at tradewindssupplies.com and she said that they should have the new version of the Dansco album for Lincoln Cent in stock by the end of the month. The new design will accommodate the changes in Lincoln serie (2009 - 4 reverse design). I don't know/forgot to ask about the price for those new albums. I'll let everyone know when I have more info. I just thought of letting everyone else know.
