Jack - some days you're the pigeon, some days you're the statue. You've been the pigeon lately. Nice finds and keep the luck rolling

@arkie. Impossible to tell in that picture. You likely could google 71d DDO and get pics there. The Variety that has doubling on TRUST will have what looks like a split going done the R's right leg along with other doubling. Personally I look for this slit and also the doubling o N the top serifs of the letter U

Ok not much of a double die guy. But I think I have 1972 d ddo-001, it also has ddr-001. How much is this one worth?

I agree that most DDO's/DDR's will require a magnifying glass. I also use a 5x Bausch & Lomb sliding magnifying glass. It it quite helpful. For a more serious viewer, I like the GemOro Lite 10x Loupe which has a nice LED light.

Where is chuckster and the other doubling experts? That coin I posted is doubled around the whole reverse as well, especially by america. Being conservative the coin grades au58-ms 63.

halfhunter: I can't tell from your present pic. Can you possibly post a close up of the split serifs on the letters that are doubled on the Obv & Rev of your coin? Thanks, Chuck. * Can you match the rev die markers to these on CONECA Variety vista for the 72D DDR? http://varietyvista.com/Variety%20M....htm#_1972-D

box today- 7 NIFC , 1 81S, and my FIRST 1974-D DDO!! All this time I thought I was missing some in previous boxes, but there is no mistaking it, it POPS right out. Well I use a X16 when checking. I could not get a close enough picture, I may have to invest in one of those coin magnifiers, I don't remember what they are calld.
