@andrewf731 Keep at it, and you'll find some silver. Along the way, you can keep upgrading your mint set as well.

@justkeepsearching - Not sure what others do, but I go to the branch where I do my business banking. The branch manager knows me, and happily indulges my quirky hobby.

First silver in quite a while. Cheers everyone.

Oh and 2nd box only good keeper. It looked like it was rusted, but it was stain, thankfully. After my clean up with white vinegar and acetone, it appears as below.

I sold all my silver Kennedy's this morning after getting hosed trying to sell a few rolls on ebay last week.

Never again.

13 rolls of 40%ers and 4 rolls of 1964's. Got $1630.

I had a roll of Franklins and another roll of 40% and almost a full roll of 1964 but the guy only brought enough for what we agreed on via email. He said he would come back at the end of the week for the rest.

So there I was silverless (except for my 5 rolls of Walkers) and a few loose 40%.

I picked up 6 boxes from the bank and told them I would bring donuts tomorrow since I'm still not feeling the new branch manager.

I get back to work.

1 box has a 1964 ender and a 40% bottom ender I missed.

1 box had a 40% ender and a Walker bottom ender I missed.

Box 1: 10 40%ers, 5 1964, 2 Franklins, a sticker coin, and drumroll my first Barber. It only took going through $1 million to find one. And I just got out my book and I'll be danged if it isn't actually RARE and worth something.

Box 2: 11 40%ers, 4 1964, a Franklin, 3 Walkers, and 2 NIFC.

The other 4 boxes: a 1964, a holed 1964 (my first holes 90%), a holed, a beat up proof, a PMD, and an NIFC.

PS: all of this after I ranted last night in my august find thread about falling behind after a skunk streak. And so no one thinks I went and picked up a Barber half to fulfill my Babe Ruth calling out my prophecy I can GUARANTEE you if I was going to salt the roll it sure wouldn't go out and buy an 1892 S to do it.

If I sell metals on ebay I wait until Friday because the market is closed and the price is usually set for the weekend. I list a 1 day auction. I wasn't really looking to sell on ebay as I had my rolls of 40% up on the sale page here for melt with no hits and had to keep raising the price every 2 days as silver kept going up and I had them on Craiglists for a month at melt with maybe 1 inquiry.

I put a roll up at auction on a Saturday afternoon ends sunday afternoon. Melt was $68. A roll sold Saturday before I listed mine for $76 plus same shipping so I listed mine. Mine sold for $66. 2 hours later someone else got $89 for theirs. After fees I got jacked bad.

This Saturday I listed 3 rolls for $75 plus actual shipping when melt was $71. Sold all 3 to the same buyer and shipped at cost (still out 13% in fees)

Then Sunday night a guy emails from my craigslist ad now that I am down 8 rolls from getting jacked on ebay fees and he wants everything I have and then some. He said he would have even paid way over melt since he just sold a car and wanted to invest.

Since I already agreed on a package price before I knew this I agreed to do the deal which an honest business person does. He said he will be back on Friday for the rest of what I had and now I have a few more to offer him.

I will no longer gamble on $1 start price auctions. If someone doesn't want it at my more than fair buy it now price so be it.

Buy it now on the rolls is the way to go. It really is easy to get burned. Glad you sold all the coin you have to the guy.
