Got 3 good rolls (out of 4) today! The 3 rolls that had the same kind of wrapper yielded 34 40%. The biggest silver find in months. Most of them are au/bu. I'll be able to upgrade some of my "keeper" rolls (especially the 1966). I've gotten 40% there a couple of times before and need to check it more often, since I think I figured out why they often have silver. It's right next door to a ABC store!

Ahh, nice to find silver again huh Ratman! I really thought it was going to be easier around Christmas to find silver, but it seems most are having a drought. As for myself, I have been so busy with getting prepared for the holiday, I have not been searching, but I am looking forward to getting back into it afterwards. By the way, what is an ABC store?

ABC Store (alcohol beverage control...I think) is state run liquor store. I think I'll be checking that bank again around New Years...LOL.

Went out today to scout the banks, picked up 60 rolled and about 10 loose. All 10 dollars loose was from some tellers' cache and was silver 40% and 3 90%. She wasn't in and the teller that was at her station kindly packaged them up for me hehe. There were also five rolls with addresses marked on them so I thought they had already been searched. boy was I wrong. about 10 more 40% and 3 90%.
This definitely raised my spirits from the craptastic brink boxes I have been getting.

I got $80.00 dollars worth of "customer wrapped" halves today. Found 1 Proof 1971. 1 - 40% 2 - 90% And a 2004 P And a 2004 D I found a '76 in such brilliant condition that I just had to keep it too !
(this wasn't "my" bank and I didn't take even half of what they had.....now I wish I had, but it's too late to go back for the rest of them.....might try on Monday though)
Not a bad batch at all after getting SO skunked for SO long that I had taken a long hiatus from this !
Now I have a whole box on order due in today or tomorrow !

Figured I'd make good use of my time at the inlaws and went out in search of halves this morning. Apparently this town of 10,000 is a hot-bed for halves...hit two banks, picked up $380 bagged at the first, and only had another $120 left and got $100 rolled from the second bank I hit. The bag yielded on 2009-D, but that was pretty much it out of those two.
Gonna head out here shortly and cash those in...and of course see if I can hit a few more before they all close at noon!

It's been a bust for me for the last month or so...getting scarce out there, at least around here.

My box last night was better than recent ones:
1942 Walker 2 1964 (both in VERY nice condition - high end AU because of light rubs but otherwise great luster) 2 1967 1 1968-D

I also stopped at my local B of A and got a very quick "NO" when I asked if there were any halves. I'm guessing she had a haul hidden in her teller drawer...grrrrrrrrrr... Maybe I'm just paranoid about that. I'm now 0/14 on walking into banks and asking tellers. 2008/2009 Detroit Lions or 2009 NJ Nets?
