Gothic, the BOA's around here are jerks too. Most banks gladly give up their half dollars to anybody who will take them off their hands....BOA won't unless you have an account. $300.00 in customer wrapped yielded nothing today, But did pick up one lonely half dollar at one of my local banks had and it was a 40%.

Went thru one box yesterday and got an 83 proof and one 40%. Picked up $23 loose from a bank and pulled a 69.

Picked up another $356 late this morning and got skunked again...other than a single 2004-D. Did pull out a few in pretty good condition to check against my album when I get home from the in-laws. My half searching has been futile so far; but I know their out there. Will have to see if I can get the greenlight from the wife to road trip to a few of the small towns around here Saturday morning.
The bank I picked up $100 from this morning was bank rolled, and a grumpy old teller said, you probably won't find anything old in there. I took that to mean that they're all over the silver themselves. So I'm not too ambitious to go back there for more.

My silver drought is officially over! After getting skunked on 7 straight boxes, I finally found some silver. I picked up a Brinks box yesterday and when I opened it, there were 3 40 % silvers on the ends of the rolls staring at me! I love that sight because you know immediately that you are getting something out of the box. All in all, I found 32 40% silver halves, a great box to end my silver drought with! I still have 2 Loomis boxes I picked up from another bank yesterday, but have yet to go through. I will post the results later today or tomorrow. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all!

Congrats Silver Eagle!
Nice to see that there is Silver in Brinks Rolls- cause all I've ever gotten from them so far is a big ZIPPO!
Maybe I should order at least 1 box from Brink's this coming week along with my regular Guarda yellow/white wrapper box orders!
*MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL!*

Merry Christmas everyone!
I found $500 lying around.<<<<(which translates to, "the mortgage-payment isn't due til the 15th, and I'll have the $ back into the checking account by then.)
I went through my very first box on wednesday.
1 64 9 40%ers 1 2006 1 2003 2 2002
Should I hang onto the 2 2001 P's that I found? Also, what kind of price can I expect to get for the silver from my coin dealer? I'm not really interested in hanging onto it, and I'm too lazy to make the effort to sell it on e-bay.

So getting into the car to head to church this morning, we found an envelope with $6 in that we picked up from one of the banks yesterday. So after getting skunked on almost $850 worth we cracked open the $6 and come up with a rough 1980 proof and a 1967!
Silver is good! :)

Box #2 from Wells, a 66 and a 67. Weird 67, someone marked it with a light blue marker? Why would someone do that? I have seen, my guess roll hunters, mark halves post 1970 with markers, stickers, X's, etc, but why would you do that to a silver coin? Anyways, no more halves till next week. Dont think the banks will be open today with the 2 ft of snow here over the last couple days.

I went through 2 Loomis boxes I picked up on Christmas and managed to find some silver in each:
Box 1 - 1 1951 Franklin(on roll end, a nice surprise when I opened the box) and a 1974 S proof
Box 2 - 3 40% silver clads, 4 NIFC
I have 4 more boxes coming this week and will post results at the end of the week.
