I went on a business road trip with my son in the south. I go along with him because he stops at banks for me. The first bank we stopped at I got one 40%
after that I was finding nothing, until we got to Mississippi stopped at a bank there
teller had 7 rolls of halves so I bought them.
When I got back to the car I opened them up, found 91, 40% and 34, 90% my
best score in a long time.

Any photos? Great score! How rural was the part in Mississippi that you found this?

I would say the area in Mississippi was semi rural
I do not remember the name of the town. My son was doing all the driving so I did not pay attention, in fact I was sleeping most of the time. He would watch out for banks and if he seen one he would stop for me.

In 2014,March I believe I found 364, 40%, that is the most I ever found at one time. I put them in a pile on my bedspread and took a photo.

So many enders and Walkers and Benjies to boot. You just need to be persistent... and keep looking. Friday's box resulted in no finds. I have another box ordered for Wednesday. I hope I don't get skunked. On a somewhat related topic, I went to a new Chase Branch Bank located down the street from the recently closed large office building Chase bank. It was before 4 PM and they were closed and when I looked them up it read, "no coin exchange". Rats. Getting coins may become increasingly difficult. Good luck out there everyone.

Most of Mississippi is semi rural. Still, Excellent score! Someone was liquidating an estate and you were the beneficiary!

jk109e4, I've having the same problems. About half the Chase branches in Cincinnati are now coin-free, and only do cash transactions through an ATM. Same for PNC, which has converted about a third of their branches to ATM-only.

The other major bank branches (Fifth Third, US Bank, etc) still have coins as normal, but it is annoying to have to look up beforehand whether a branch is a "real bank" or one of these ATM-only things.
