good news!
the box I ordered was sealed!
bad news: no silver. NOTHING.
at least I had fun searching it.
its crazy how everything is getting snatched up these days. I do order from chase. I have stopped dumping at BofA because now they are charging a $6 shipping fee to all coin bags. bummer. now I will have to roll everything!
i refuse to pay for any service I can do myself.

SDcoinguy when you say you order them from chase due you just ask a teller or due you talk to the manger. Also have you ever found chase to carry silver dollars like Susan B or ikes as I noticed alot of people are dumping there coins right now. My friend who works cashier calls me up every few days to let me know if any coins came in at the store and I have been getting alot of ikes.

Skunked on $1000 in boxes but I am consistantly finding 5-10 silvers a day between loose and customer rolled. My goal is 200 oz by June 1. Sitting at 103 oz right now. Busy season is here for work so my ventures from bank to bank to bank will have to be cut way back. Lets hope the boxes begin to improve. I plan on going through 6k per week in ordered boxes. I need to find a coin machine because wrapping them is a horrible waste of time.

the only coin machine I've found around here is at huntington in standale and they charge 3-5% I think. its better then a coin star but still to expensive for me

i ask sometimes about dollars. but today the tellers told me that they dont get a lot of ikes or susan b's.
whenever I ask about the boxes of halves, the tellers refer me to their vault manager? usually a gal that oversees the other tellers. she is really nice at my bank. she now has me on a standing order. today she was going to give me another box that another customer ordered, but I didnt have time today.
as I went back to the bank to do my other non coin business I noticed out of the corner of my eye, one of the bank drawers of one of the tellers looked like he set aside some silver halves. I didnt want to ask. b/c last time I did, the woman got snippy with me and I didnt want to make a scene... o well.

went to the bank today, usual end of the week paycheck trip. asked if they had any halfs. teller said I'm a year to late. last year someone made a downpayment for a car with half dollars. an auto dealer brough in a few thousand $$ worth of rolls. why didnt I start this a year ago.....

FINALLY! I broke my Walker-less streak with a Brinks box I picked up yesterday. I search 2-3 (2 Loomis and sometimes 1 Brinks) boxes of halves per week and haven't come across a Walking Liberty since last July. I picked up a Brinks box yesterday and was happy to see a Walking Liberty on the end of a roll and a 40% silver also when I opened the box. All in all: 5 40% silver 3 Franklins - 2 1963, 1 1961 3 Walkers - 1 1936, 2 1945 1 1983 S proof  This made my day, I will go for 2 Brinks boxes next week. Picking up 2 Loomis boxes today and hoping to find something, these have been slow as of late. I will post these results later.

Haha, just bought a new van in December. I had approximately $2500 in rolled halves I was going to use as a downpayment sitting in my trunk. Last minute I figured I would be nice and not offload them onto the poor finance guy. Now I wish I would have. Would have made some roll searchers day, well until he opened all of them and found no silver.  Edited by AGCoinHunter

Twangator, yes they would be considered NIFC. I ended up buying a roll of P and D's from the mint. I'm surprised you are seeing them already in circulation. If anyone is looking for a set of P&D 2010 I have them for $2 shipped. Picked up my boxes yesterday, went thru my first box. Yep, skunked again. This is box number 8 since I have seen silver.  I did stop by different bank and they had $105 loose that they sold me. Found a '65 and a 89 proof. |

Check with any TD Banks in your area.
TD Bank by me uses Brinks as its carrier and if/when I order an occasional box, it's a short, square box with brown BRINKS labels on each roll.
