Yeah we probably overlap on Holyoke, I focus also on Chicopee, EL/Longmeadow, Springfield and Ludlow. Peoples is def the place to dump. They have a fast and accurate counter. I have also by workin on doing a little a more are. Have you ever tried Huntington? Small World out there for sure.

Silver has been hot here. Found around $70 face value in the last two weeks. Boxes are hit and miss but CWRs have been great! Do any of the big banks (BOA, 5/3rd, PNC) have String & sons rolls?
Also found my first 1970 d!

Hybes: BoA I believe is strictly Brinks. I'm not sure what region you are in but TD Banknorth is String and Son for sure.
Cashgardner: Just the other day I got permission to take a few of the coin counter 1000 dollar bags from Peoples and bring them back filled with out having to use the counter! Should be in and out real quick from that place now! I've never venured into some of the places you go but I do go north regularly through the hamptons (north, east, south) and sometimes into hadley, amherst. I have tried going west before but there isn't a whole lot between Westfield and Great Barrington/Lee. My grandparents live in the Berkshires though so I try and get them to pick up halves when they are around town. And yea I have tried Huntington. They have one United Bank there I believe and it didn't have squat!

well, of all the banks, US bank, Citibank, Union bank of CA, Wells fargo, BofA, Chase. mind you I went to about 2 to 3 of these different branch locations, had only $45 loose rolled halves.. I cannot believe it. maybe I went on a bad weekend? I dont plan on doing this again for another month, maybe 3 weeks. on a positive note, not ONE bank turned me away. all were happy to check for me.

Motos, that is a pretty slick gig you have going with Peoples. I dont move enough coin to be requesting bags as I dont do boxes. I will say while attending college courses I really pound Amherst and Hadley hard but school is out for summer. Have had moderate success in the Berkshires as I pass through every so often. Its really luck of the draw. Believe it or not I have only passed through Westfield once in search of halves and had no luck. Stopped at a bank and they informed me the halves they had were bought that very morning so I took a hint that it was marked territory and that I would have better luck elsewhere. Have you ever stopped at the Westfield Bank in Southwick...I cold called them a few months back and they said they had $600 but I was too skepitcal to follow up.

BoA in Virginia/DC area is Loomis, and Suntrust in same area is brinks... so I think it depends on region...

Cashgardner, I've pretty much got Westfield on half lock down so don't expect to find much if you come here looking lol. Funny you should mention the Westfield Bank in Southwick, as until about 3 or 4 months ago they were my primary dump bank! So unless they had enough of my halves to ship out, its probably my old box and loose sitting there. I was at HCC up until 2 - 3 weeks ago and did Holyoke banks in between classes mode. Will be at UMass this fall, and hope to get banks around up there.
Funny thing too, last year some time in the fall I went to the TD Bank in Amherst and they had like 300 dollars worth of halves and they were all searched. Did you dump those? You said were up in Amherst.
A fun trip I like to take is to follow Rt. 10/202 south from Southwick down into Connecticut and hit up all the banks along the way. I usually get down to Avon and turn back. Lots of banks and very nice communities to drive through : D

Motos: Well I guess we can say I found a pile of your dumps in Southwick and you found a pile of mine in Amherst lol. Like I said I had a hunch about thre being someone cleaning up in Westfield and figured my chances of luck there were slim. The problem with all the TD banks though is they all seem to have a coin counter. I befriended the teller in Amherst and she would take my rolls so they bypassed the penny arcade. I will say that in our area it is not unusual to get the response "Someone was in here this morning and cleaned us out". You dont order boxes from United Bank in W. Springfield by any chance. One time I was in there and they told me someone searched boxes they ordered. I'm sure there are plenty of others of do the same thing as in the area yet we will never know them. Also an interesting thing to comment on about your post about Brinks. They are located on Riverdale Rd. pretty much across the street from Hooters so your coins are coming in pretty locally i'd say in regards to the boxes you described

I never knew they were so close to home! And no I don't order boxes from the United Bank in West Springfield. I order 1 box from Westfield Bank, 2 from Bank of America, and another from Easthampton Savings. I have found rolls in Westfield with MM markerd/penned on. That wouldn't be you by any chance?

I am not MM. If I do mark a roll I do so by taking a pen and drawing on the inside of the roll. I like to be more discreet as I dont mind buying my dumps If I can learn a little about their pattern of circulation. Its a good thing that we live in such an expansive urban area as there is an opportunity for more than one CRH'r to have success. There are so mnay different banks withing a 20 mile radius!

did $1000 from brinks boxes this weekend and found 14 40%'s, 15 1952p, 2 1952s, 2 1952d, 14 1950p, 6 1950d, a 1983s, and several nicfs in ms. One of the 1952p's might be ms and several of the other franklins are in the xf and au range.

Very nice XoG. Looks like someone dumped some rolls that Grandma had sitting in the trunk. Seems like you only got 19 of the 1952 coins - sure you didn't miss one? LOL.
