Got $215.50 yesterday from 4 different branches $200 was from one branch and it was bank-rolled- they had bought a $500 box (String & sons, yellow) for a customer and he never came in and so I got what was left of it, guess they had given out some of it to other customers. Anyhow the other $15.50 yielded 1 40% and 1 90%.
The $200 yielded no silver but a whopping 72, yes 72 NIFC coins! I've only had this happen one other time in which I got more than just a couple of NIFC from bank-rolled. The dates are listed below in my totals. Before this I had only gotten 2 NIFC all year (the 06P and 09D)

My dry spell is over. Searched 4 boxes tonight. First box had 28 40% halves, second had 2 40%. The third and fourth boxes were skunks, except for the Proof 1971-S in box number four.
Found a couple gold plated halves. What's the deal with those? Its not the first time I've seen them, but does anyone know where they're coming from?

Found a bank that will order boxes for free (from Gaurda). 2 boxes this week.
2 68 Kennedys and 5 limited mintage that were keepers ( 4 2004 and 1 2009).
The second box was a skunk box and appeared to be someone's dump. Interestingly, there were 2+ rolls of brilliant 2004's (P and D) that someone marked across the face with a green marker. That kind of sucked. 2 boxes coming next Thursday.

If that is a Sharpie or permanent marker mark, it should come right off with rubbing alcohol---it won't hurt the coin, either. Better than rejecting them, because they are very low mintage----

Thanks Ferdy. Worked like a charm. I am going to pull one roll and throw the rest back since they are mixed in my dump box. I don't feel like searching everything again.

I dunno how you guys find boxes of halves! I go to wells fargo and 5 other banks in the area and the most half dollars I've ever found was one teller had 2 coins! I have never seen a roll let alone a box!

2 Loomis boxes searched = only 1 40% silver.
However, I did manage to score something on returning the halves to another bank. I dropped by a local credit union, to make a payment on my car loan and paid in halves. I casually asked if they ever get any halves in and she said no. But she said she had a few single coins and another teller had some too. I heard her counting out her halves and the lovely sound of silver was easily heard. From the 8 coins she sold me, a beautiful 1958 D Franklin was found. This made my day even better. It's funny how a person can search 1000 coins (a box) and only find 1 silver or sometimes get skunked and then you can walk into a bank, get 8 coins and pull a Franklin. The mystery of life - you never know what you will come across.

Ferdy - Not sure if you were joking, but I have 32 2004 P and D's if you really want them. I do not want to under or over sell their quality as I am not a coin grader, but they all have the brilliant finish of a new coin. Just keep in mind they were taken out of circulated rolls, so they are not perfect. Also, I do not have sufficient posts to sell, so sorry mods if I am breaking the rules.
