Don't let those hunter marks fool ya---some of my best boxes had PLENTY of marked coins in them---as a matter of fact, my BEST box EVER had a lot of marked coins---when I opened the box, I saw 4 marked coins on the ends of ONE SIDE of the rolls. The box had FORTY THREE silvers in it, with 2 Walkers, 3 Frankies, 5 '64's, and the rest 40%---including a '76-S silver proof!! |

By the way, what did the marks look like? There's some guy that is trying to track where his searched coins end up. He marked 5000 halves with a lime olive green marker diagonally across the obverse from just above the "IN GOD" across Kennedy's head to the "T" in "LIBERTY".

Well in the minnesota area, there are so many hunter marks with the tail colored in green.
Ferdyboy, you have quite some luck! I am still waiting for a day to find at least 10 silvers in a box!

Just looked at a few again, on the obverse side the eagle head is also painted in green, blue or red.

I went through a Brinks box and found 2 1964 90% and 5 40% silver. 2 Loomis boxes yielded only 1 90% silver-a nice 1942 Walker S and a few NIFC. Hoping for a great box soon.

Good luck last week yielded to a slow start this week. $410 in CWR today, but only 2 x 40%. 67 Ikes, however.

60.00 in crr and nothing... One was short a dollar. My big day must be comming because things have been soo dry.

$300 CWR - zilch. Took em right back inside.
Next bank - $4.50 loose - one 1966 and one 1967.

Bring them back? Are you crazy? They might not be so willing to sell you coin if you do that. I would take them home and bring them to my dump bank once I collect 1k. I just don't see the good in bringing them right back into the bank that just sold them to you.

afclassic87, I agree thats a big no-no. You are only shooting yourself in the foot if they do have something beside another CRHers dumps.

I would say that shoots all of us in the foot. But anyway, This morning, $300 in Brinks rolls, skunked. But $140 in CWR gave up 8 x 40% and 1 x 1964. Plus, strangely, 3 full rolls of uncirculated 2005 halves and 2 full rolls of uncirculated 2006 halves. I've seen that kind of thing several times lately. Why someone would take off the mint wrapper, re-roll them in brown paper and cash them in is beyond me. I've build up about 20 rolls of NIFC, mostly 2005 and 2006, but some 2003 and 2009. Any thoughts on what to do with those? Is there a market for them? I suppose I should check ebay. |

I agree with the above, unless the bank specified that they wanted back any you did not want. I had that happen one time at a bank in a different town.
