Broke a long dry spell with (4) 40% and a 72-S impaired proof among $13 in loose halves. Two of the 40% halves were heavily damaged and covered with some kind of crusty grime.

Also got a $2 US Note - the funny part was that for the first time, it snuck by me! I didn't notice it was a Red Seal until I got home! I'm getting sloppy :-(

Found 2 rolls of halves today, yielded 1 x 40%.

But an unexpected find of Ikes. Photo attached. Three bags. I had recently asked for all the Ikes I could get and this very nice branch manager had offered to see what she could do. She originally called back and said there were none to be found anywhere. (Same story I almost always get when I ask for Ikes -- even single Ikes.) Then she called back and said someone had noticed by chance these bags in the recesses of the vault. From the condition of the bags and tags, they must have been there for a LONG time.

I may not have time to look through them for a while, but I am still excited about the find. Even if they are all "commons," they are Ikes!

Got my first box of halves ever (after about 20 years of off and on roll searching) and got rewarded with a skunk. :(

Americana,

It was a small independent local bank. I understand the vault where these were discovered was somewhere upstream of this particular bank. They were delivered to the bank today by Loomis.

Morgan,

Yes, you can order boxes of halves at BOA, assuming you're an account holder.

bnacoin, hope you find some silver in those bags. Man I wish I could find a bunch of half dollar bags that were in the "recesses" of the vault since about say, ummmm 1964. That would really make my day.
