Sorry for the double tap(:-<)
Don't worry, I fixed it! -- Moderator.
Russ;
I have been getting boxes from BOA mostly. And wouldn't be surprised if they eventually shut me down. I will get 'em while I can. I don't dump at BOA though I use another regional bank that I opened an account with specifically that in mind. They have manny branches and are pretty cheerful (for the time being) about all the change in the machines. For non members they charge 10% to dump... Dang I say!
Be safe and happy turkey day weekend to all Patty

achildofthesky,
you actually find silvers in the BoA boxes? I've yet to find anything from them.

Yes, I have had what would seem to be modestly luck so far. I get some skunkers but boxes with 1-4 40% seem to be an approximate norm (if there is such a thing) with some NIFC and a proof or 2 tossed in here and there. Monday, the day I got a massive 10 boxes, the third box I opened was 21 40%ers & 2 90%ers. All together, the 10 boxes yielded 5 90%ers and 29 40%ers. Wednesday, the first box of an additional 4 boxes had 2 64's and 19 40%ers and the last box an additional 3 40%ers...
I will try again this week with another 10 boxes on monday and perhaps 4 more on next Wednesday to see how it goes.
It can be pretty tedious opening and sorting the coins but I have a lot of spare time right now and the hobby costs pretty much nothing save $.50 a pop for the coins I keep and I dump them in conjunction with other about towne trips.
I pondered doing some other coins but have stuck to the halfs due to the ease (for now anyway) in acquiring them. If the quarter rolls yielded regularly just a few per box, silver wise, I'd do them too as they are more easily differentiated. May have to try that someday soon. Unless I misunderstand, dimes also have varying silver content in later years similar to halves, but that is a different thread altogether I reckon...
Be safe Patty

no the dimes aren't varying in content. 64 and earlier = 90 percent.
the canadian ones do have some variation, however.

Patty,
Yeah, out of all the banks I get halves from it seems that BofA is the absolute nicest. The last box, the branch manager called to let me know it had arrived. However, I have only ordered 1 box at a time and a total of 2 boxes. Both boxes being skunks! I just dumped the last BofA box today in a Capital One coin machine! lol I don't know what I would do if I didn't have a coin machine dump!! Seeing your luck, I guess I will try a few more BofA boxes before I give up on them.

Other than a few stray, loose coins and a couple rolls I got from small banks around here ($541 worth) all of the rolls I have received have came from BoA. The a heretofore pleasant woman at branch I used to deal with almost exclusively tersely told me that they couldn't get rolls even though she had done so for me in the past for the small dollar coins and $2 bills.
I avoid that branch now but will likely dump there to pay the mortgage in change from time to time in the future. Her attitude was positively frosty after doing both business and personal banking there for over a decade. Like my daddy said: "takes all kinds to make a world, too bad it takes that kind too"....

4 box total for the week - 2 40%'s. Both were in the same roll about 5 rolls into my first box. Weird. Another rough week, but it was made better by my cwr success earlier in the week.
It will make the mrs. unhappy but I may open an account at a new bank for different boxes.
