I showed up at my usual bank on Friday to pick up the 3 boxes I had ordered, and the teller I normally deal with informed me that she was off that week and the order had never been placed. She also mentioned that she was supposed to be charging me for any boxes I order. She told me she would order a box or two per week for "Bank Stock" and I could simply purchase those to bypass any sort of fees! I just hope her decision stays as such, but I don't want her getting reprimanded over this. I'll just have to hope for the best next week or else it looks like I'm forced to take my accounts elsewhere.

Got $420 in rolled halves at a BOA (unfortunately, some of them are casino-wrapped so I doubt I'll have much luck with them.) Snagged another $240 in a bank out of state. Yet to search them... but I did get unusual $20 rolls of halves at one bank. I figured they were extremely old and full of silver, but it turns out those are the standard issue wrappers that bank rolls loose coin in.

They even gave me a few unused $20 wrappers. They are very unwieldy and inconvenient to search.

I like "customer wrappers" the best. They are so much easier to rip open than machine rolled. When I buy boxes, I have to open the rolls with a box knife by cutting the top part of the wrapper!

The easiest way to open them is to "rap" them on a sharp corner, like the edge of a countertop or your desk or table---this will "pop" the wrapper and then you just peel it open----

I normally cut the "ring" at the top of the wrapper where the wrap stops...then the wrapper just pulls apart.

I use a small set of scissors held at about a 45 degree angle to one end of the roll and snip it and then push out the coins with my thumb. it goes pretty quickly. I do look at every coin and not just the rims...

Be safe

Good luck to everyone this week! I should (hopefully) get in 4 boxes of halves. Thinking about getting a box of nickels too.

Went on a mini hunt to 4 banks on Weds. Was able to get ahold of $1450 in halves. Only 7 40%, but I did find only my 3rd 1987.
