Stopped by a bank over lunch. They had $2 worth. One happened to be a '64. :)

very nice mr. half.
quick question: I'm thinking of switching over to BB&T for some brinks boxes...anyone have any experience with that bank? I know nothing about them and how hospitable/inhospitable they might be toward me if I order boxes.

Stopped into a Chase Bank where last March I found 413 40% halves out of $320 in rolls, asked if they had any rolls, teller told me they didn't and they didn't let any silver get out of the bank. I smiled.

Can someone indulge my ignorance for a bit? I am going to buy about 5 rolls per week of half dollars. I know the obvious silver coins to look for, but what are the other desirable coins to search for?
I am not starting a coin book, just looking for the unusual stuff over the winter, until I can get back out with my metal detector.
Is there somewhere I could go to find a list of coins to be on the lookout for?

also, scott, some here will tell you it's worthwhile to save NIFCs and proofs, but it's really not worth the time if you're intending to sell them, rather than collect.

i suspect my streak is ended. usually I go two or so weeks of good finds and then two or three weeks of crap.

I'm on a 12-step program because of CRH, and did something today that I've not done in over a year. Stopped into a foreign bank (Flagstar) to inquire about their branch coin counters and possibly opening an account. Before leaving, I asked if any halves. Teller says "lets see what I can scrape up" and tossed about 19 clads onto the counter. She turns to the teller next to her and says, "want to sell that Franklin?" Nabbed a keeper. First one of the new year.

but really, have any of you really made good finds with CWR?
i mean, yeah I find a handful here and there, but outside of that, the boxes seem to be better.

Picked up another two boxes today and got zilch! Although 1 box did produce 3 impaired proofs, which IMO is a whole lot better than nothing.
