Any of you guys keep stats? I'm averaging one 40% every 44.61 rolls and one 90% every 154.42 rolls. Seems pretty awful.

From boxes my averages are much lower than that... Probably 1 40% for every 80-90 rolls or so, and maybe 1/10th that many 90%. The only thing that brings up my average is the occasional loose or customer-wrapped score. Half my all silver halves to date came from three customer-wrapped rolls.

I have only searched 6 boxes but 5 90 percent and 11 40s so 1 90 in 120 rolls and 1 in 54 1/2 for 40. Overall 1 silver in 37 1/2 rolls so not bad for face cost silver! More basic earnings on $3000 thab one could earn if in a savings account. Kind of like rub off lottery tickets with no loss! Only can break even or WIN!

Fun fact: I've just crossed over the $200,000 mark. I'd say that means I've touched at least 400k halves, but I know darn well that I've seen the same coin(s) more than once. Also, to those of you that detest the practice, I've stopped marking my coins. Always tried to mark coins that (seemed to) hold no value beyond face, but I've just ended the practice altogether.

Picked up about $100 in halves total by stopping at 7 different banks today. $50 was machine-wrapped rolls from one bank and they contained nothing good. The other coins (hand-wrapped and loose) yielded 2 Franklins, one 1964, and 2 silver-clads. Not a huge score but judging from other reports in this thread I'm having more success than many box searchers. It's been a couple years since I tried a box....

OK, so the wife cheated on me today. She got a box and searched it herself while I was at work. She got 16 40% and one 1964. I think its grounds for divorce.

Well. Let me see here 80 dollars in rolls, probably banked searched but got them anyways. 85% 1971's. 15% 1974/2 rest...randoms Anyone need 1971s? Haha who is hoarding these and dropping them all in my state! I don't need them! Looked at it in Red Book total minted count about 460 million not including S mint mark. so 215 million dollars in 1971's...crap. :)
