Owassokie... Today I got my first 90% silver in a long while. I was super stoked about that. I considered setting up a bank account at one place. Whenever they get "odds n ends" coins, they send them to their other branch 45 miles away. I was thinking maybe I could open there, tell them I'd take all their odds n ends coins and never return them (then return them at my current bank). This bank is out of the way, but may be worth it. Just finished up with a final last week, starting a new class next week, and I will be doing a ToughMudder run next weekend (google it). I'm super stoked!

One of my two boxes this week has produced one whopping 2010 D NIFC.

The second has just been started and has produced one 2004 P NIFC so far.

Now, for one of those elusive DDOs or nice silvers. Hey, another missing FG would be fine to.

Hey Earle42 - Kennedys from 2002 to present have only been made in small quantities and sold to collectors. We call them NIFC which stands for Not Intended For Circulation. Check production numbers, and you'll see about 40 million Kennedys in 2001, down to 5 million in 2002, and holding around that number until dropping to 3.5 million in 2008. Those numbers are about evenly split between Denver and Philadelphia.

Thanks for your reply. But I made a mistake in my post. I meant why can't I find any 1987 - not 2007s

Anyone know why I can't find any?

Last box added the following:

1982 S Proof
1991 S Proof

No silver but I will not complain with proofs like these.

Hey Earle42 - Pretty much the same answer for the 1987's. They were not released for circulation, and they only made 2.89 million at each Mint for distribution in Mint and Uncirculated sets.

87's are very tough to find in circulation. I also have had some trouble finding 79-D, 82-P&D and 98-D. Production numbers suggest they shouldn't have been so hard, but it took me awhile.
