I have been following this thread for some time now. I have searched between 50 to 60 boxes of halves to this point. At first just looking for silver. I now save almost everything of interest to me. I searched 1 box today and found:
8-NIFC
(1) 2002-D
(2) 2002-P
(1) 2003-D
(1) 2003-P
(1) 2004-P
(1) 2007-D
(1) 2011-D
1-1996-S Proof
1-1983-P NO-FG
2-1983-P NO-FG

Once I realized that there was more than just silver to find I started to fill albums. I have now completed a Franklin and a Kennedy Album including proofs. I got impatient and filled the Franklin with mostly BU coins. For the Kennedy album, I purchased most of the clad proofs and all of the Silver Proofs. The rest were found CRH.

Thanks to everyone for renewing my motivation in this hobby again.

Decided to roll hunt some halves today and try to fill some holes in my albums. Out of $300 worth that I obtained, the following notable results:
12 of 21 holes filled
3 upgrades
2005d NIFC
1971d with damage enough to go to my extreme PMD pile.
$34 in Bicentennials now gives me $40 total.

I now have $5.50 loose, and $300 in culls and extras I had already re-rolled and ready to take to other banks or spend.

@Murphy,

When you say no FG, please be sure to take a strong magnifying glass to the coins. If you can see the slightest sketching of the FG, it is not a non-FG.

I am saying this because the FG tends to wear off a lot of the half dollars quite easily during circulation. Yet, there will still be a slight trace of at least one of the letters when placed under a good magnifying glass or loupe.

If you look, and still see no traces, you have a true non-FG. Personally, I use a Bausch and Lomb 5x magnifying glass I purchased from my LCS.

You might remember my comment week before last, kiddingly asking which of you wiseguys went into my bank and took my box. Well, as the story unfolds today, I went in to pick up my replacement box. It was taped closed, which was odd but I thought little of it since I have gotten some banged up boxes recently.

I get home and open the box, to find ALL customer rolled coins!

So this guy apparently takes my box, strips it clean, and returns the whole box to the same bank! I'm sure they won't be giving him any more boxes.

2 1966
1 1967
1 1969

The two 1966's were in the same roll, that was a rush!

Nice finds all! I haven't posted on here for a while. I haven't been treasure hunting (CRH) since my luck ran out. However, I decided to order 5 boxes this week and 2 boxes next week. 3 boxes in so far and 0 silver, 6 NIFC's and my very first proof commemorative. I'll post pics when I'm done with all 5 boxes.
