Thanks, everyone! The silver proof REALLY stood out on the rims! I looked at it, and I was just hoping it was something good, and it was! I put it in a 2x2. This is proof (pun intended) that we can't give up if we go on a no-silver streak. I was almost on a 6 box skunk streak, and you feel like, "it's over. The dream is over.". But then it happens again. This cycle of no-silver, then silver, has happened to me, and prob all of us, so let's keep up our hope! Quote:

Hey Bernie, for 1979 proofs, type 1 the most common, the S mint mark is blotched together, the type 2 is a clear normal s, something to do with the dies that year. I believe 1982,or 81, had the same deal. I'm working on a dansco with proofs album, was glad to get that 79, it was one of 3 clad proofs I hadnt got yet.
So check all your 79 proofs when you find them, I think a clear s type 2 would command a few bucks more then face atleast, since Iv seen them priced at 15-20$ on up for bu's.

bernie, you are absolutely correct about going through bad streaks ( I'm at 9 right now ) I know it will turn around and hope it does for everyone else as well

Went through 4 boxes and a few NIFCS and even fewer Proofs. No silver this week. *Shrug*
However, I got my first 1986S Proof Immigrant!! It's pretty!
