I picked up three customer rolls, and three boxes today. I plan on going through them this weekend and will post the results when finished. So far the three customer rolls had nothing.

I picked up four boxes of halves yesterday and here are the results:
Box 1 - 2 1964 JFK, 6 40% silver, 1 1977 S Proof. Box 2 - 1 1964 JFK. Box 3 - 4 40% silver. Box 4 - 3 40% silver.
Happy Hunting!

Seems like I'm finding what a lot of you are - boxes are either hot or cold right now.

Been a little bleak up here in Maine. Did six boxes this week and got 3 skunks, 2 boxes with 1 40% and the last box had 2 90% and 2 40%. The funny part was the order they came. I had 3 straight skunks then the 4th box had a 40% in the last roll. The 5th box had a 40% in the 1st roll then the 6th box had a 40% in the last roll...kinda weird but better than 6 skunk boxes! I did get a 2006-s silver proof in nice shape. I also got handed an extra $400 in cash from a teller...I gave it back and he handed me a roll of halves. I didn't notice at the time but as I was driving away I noted that the roll was a little longer than usual, and had $13.50 in it - I guess he was determined to give me some extra that day. Win some and lose some with the old CRH and customer rolls. Usually I get stiffed a few dimes when I grab customer rolls of them so this makes up for a few of those short rolls. Maine_Jim

I've never gotten any rolled coins from banks before, but I was thinking about trying to get a few rolls of halves. Is it very hard to find banks with half dollar rolls?

Banks don't order half dollars just too keep them around for customers. They usually only have them when a customer turns them in. Some banks will order you a box if you ask them. I would suggest that you find another place to return the rolls you don't want. This not only keeps the bank okay with your arrangement, it keeps you from searching the same rolls.

After taking a couple weeks off of roll searching I will be ordering a box this morning. (i just could not stand getting skunked and figured I need a break) Hope this ones as good as my first box I got from this bank. (9 40%'s and 2 1964 jfk's not a bad haul for one box)

The teller at my local Wells Fargo had $6 in loose halves today (no rolls). The 12 coins included 4 silver-clad, plus a proof 1987-S! This coin completes my PDS year set, since in the last several months I found one each of the '87-P and '87-D. The proof is a bit worn, retaining less than half of the original proof surface. Still, a welcome find.

My new bank is supposed to have 2 boxes for me tomorrow! I've been impatiently waitimg! I hope I have the same kind of luck I had with my first and only box from my dump bank! 19(40%),3(90%) plus a Bennie, a proof and a silver proof! I know I have high hopes because this is a hit or miss game!
