One box, 1 40%

On the other hand, the vault manager who told me my coins would be in today showed me a 250 box of dimes he had that a customer didn't want because the wrappers weren't "see through". What the heck I said, took em and off his hands and away I went to finding a 62 D and 64 D. Some people are just lazy. Lol.

@wrestling_135

Here is a list I've compiled from reading others posts - certainly not complete or the last word but It's helped me. I find myself adding to it as I learn more. There may be duplications.

If any of you guys see errors or omissions, please point them out.

Hope this helps.

1964 Cameo or Deep Cameo Accented Hair Kennedy half dollar
1966-D No FG
1971-D DDO
1972-P DDO
1972-D no FG - missing or partial "FG" in these years:
1973-D No F the G is weak or DDO
1974-D DDO
1977-D No F the G is weak
1979-S Proof Filled S & Clear S
In the middle of 1979 the obverse hubs for the Kennedy half dollars were replaced. From years of use, the punch used to put the mint mark on the hub became worn and made the mint mark look more like a blob than an "S." The new hub had a mint mark that was much clearer.
1981-S Proof Clear S & Flat S
Once again in 1981 the hub was redone and the mint mark was less pronounced and more flat.
1982-P No FG
1983-P No FG
1989-P No FG

check the rotation on the reverse.

Does it look like the picture metal dealer posted? The one that says HA There is a jokester in every town. I got fooled last week by the old silver sharpie side marker.Usually run into one of those once a month, and see alot that its wore off on.

I received a thank you card from a pick up bank in the mail today. I gave them a tim hortons card around christmas, thought that was a nice jesture.

I just sell them. Usually locally
as most do not want to pay for the shipping.

So I'm new to rolling at just stopped by BOA and they had about $260 worth of rolls, went through them and didn't find any silver. Is there a benefit to ordering rolls? They told me there was no charge if I did want to order them.

Although I did end up getting about three rolls worth of 1776-1976 Bi-Cenntenials? Are these worth anything? 3 x d's

8 more boxes 1,40% & 2,90%
I found the 2, 90% in the last 10 rolls
that saved the day for me.
Going into surgery tomorrow for rotor cuff
operation on right shoulder so I will not be looking for a while.
Good luck to everyone.

No real benefit one way or another if you
get the rolls from the bank boxes or rolls/singles
from the tellers. If you can get boxes from your bank
at no extra cost then do so. Just have to keep looking.
You will eventually get some nice finds. The 76's (clad)
have no real premium value. You can look for nicer clad proofs,
silver proofs and also die varieties along with any other silver.

I searched my first halves today. I picked up two rolls and I also searched 4 rolls of dimes. Found a 68 d and 69 d in the halves! My two year old "helped" and we filled a few holes in her Littleton Kennedy album, 86 to present. Definitely picking up more tomorrow.

My bank doesn't keep boxes of half-dollars. I haven't tried to order any yet, I am currently working on CHR boxes of quarters.

So today, I go into the bank for my box of quarters. As usual, I ask them, "Do you have any dollar or half-dollar coins?"

"I have $23 in dollars and $6 in halves."

"Great," I said, "I'll take them."

I get home and quickly look through them and there it is, a 1969D 40% staring at me.

Sure feels good to get silver at face.
