These two 2015 ASE came out of the same roll of Eagles and both appear almost identical.

In addition to the prominent doubling of the TED and ST of United States there is also a mark that shows up between the words and extends into the upper loop of the S in States. This Mark appears to be a scuff which I would normally say could be caused by polishing of the die, it doesn't seem to be a gouge in the field but it extends into the upper loop of the S as a gouge. Also there is a readily seen difference in the appearance of the fields in the area of the 4 upper left stars extending through the affected areas of United States. In the photos this area appears darker than it actually is. Its as if the metal flowed under different pressure during the striking.

What are your opinions?

to CCF. The T in STATES looks like a worn die.

Here is a clash overlay for these:

It may be an area where a clash happened and now the die was polished to remove it. Leaving a smoothed/rough area on the die.
