A well circulated early cent, with plenty of circulation marks. None too serious, however.
Possibly lightly cleaned, although I am not sure about that.
Most importantly, no porosity, verdigris or corrosion.

How would our copper experts grade this?

No expert here, but will practice anyway

Looks at least AG03, possibly G04. Maybe light cleaning, nice coin.

A very nice S-103 R4+ LIHERTY Reverse of 94! I am at EAC 6 net 4. I net it down due to the excessive chatter in the fields vs smooth. This is a nice coin though, with wonderful details on the obverse approaching Fine. I might just call this Good 6 and not net it down now that I think about it.

Lot's of chatter and I don't know enough about this series to know how that's factored. My educated guess is G4 to G6. Good looking coin overall though!

I totally forgot about you GERMANICVS! Another example of a great coin. The LIHERTY error shows great unfortunately the date is fairly worn. The chatter doesn't bother me a bit. The coin has good color and honest wear. EAC 3 because the date is nearly worn away.

with EAC - AG3 just wish more of the date was showing on this coin. Color is nice and pleasing despite the chatter marks.

The uneven wear, distracting about the date as it may be, doesn't deter me from rating this copper a G-4. Granted that if one looks solely at the date and parts of the reverse, AG-3 seems apropos. On the other hand, there are greater areas of the coin, like LIHERTY, the bust, the wreath and the fraction that approximate a G-6. IMHO, it's an overall G-4 with an average surface. It's a most respectable example of this desirable variety.

I looked at a few other S-103's and the date is almost always weak, so I chaulked that up to strike/die as opposed to wear.
