For anyone that didn't see, the final price was $3,383.33. Somebody's going to be mad when they realize how badly they were ripped off.

I'm sorry, but, if you are that dumb to spend that kind of money for that, then you deserve to be ripped off...

I'm more amazed that they are smart enough even to have that kind of money in the first place...

Regardless of how overbid this note was... it IS awesome. Not $3k awesome but still.

The scary part about this is that if this is a legit sale, it could affect the market since ebay is the common man's gauge of market price these days. Woof.

The note selling for 10x what it sold for on ebay last month? Up to 31 other notes from the same sheet possibly coming to market? Almost a half million page views during the auction? Several bidders (and the "winning" bidder!) all having 100% of their bidding activity only with this Seller?

I have serious doubts that this "auction" (or whatever it was) will impact the error currency marketplace values. Time will tell.

Could the seller just be trying to raise the value of this note through his shill bidding? The sale doesn't go through and when it is offered for sale again there is proof out there that it recently sold for over 3K.
