I got 4 of these and don't know why I bought 4. I might crack one for my album, but I know these smallholders are well liked and might decided not to crack it. Any one have a guess what ANACS called these. I am sorry some of the pics are slightly out of focus, but I think you can get the grade even with them being a little soft. Thanks for looking and any feedback.

They all graded 66. I guess they are either over graded, or posting 1 to 1 magnification pictures made them look worse. Also the pictures being out of focus probably doesn't help.

They look like 65/66 to me, a lot of weight goes with the luster and I can tell they all have it. People here tend to forget ALL of the TPG's generally bump memorial cents by 1 point compared to wheats.

I think ANACS called them all MS66RD. I think they are closer to MS65RD

What are the ANACS serial #s? That's a key part of figuring out whether the grading was accurate...

1st coin has nearly, if not, complete steps on the Memorial.

Here is a picture of the full slabs of all four coins, so you can see serial #'s. It was taken quickly, so it is hard to say if it provides any more use than that.

Thanks, it answers the question. Those are the last 'swh' [small white holders] issued during the Amos Press ownership of ANACS. Started using them in April 2000.

Let's just say that by April of 2000 ANACS have become very much market-driven.

As a guess, subtract 0-1 grades to get the 'proper' value, then add 0-1 grades to get today's gradeflation standard.

Meaning I would guess the current grades would be 1 lower to 1 higher.
