I recently bought this BU 1920-P FSB dime for my Merc Dansco Album from an online coin dealer, sight unseen but with a full money back guarantee. Upon its arrival yesterday, I forgo any close observation of the obverse in an effort to closely examine the reverse to verify that it indeed was a FSB specimen. But before I placed it in my album, I gave the obverse a closer look, and to my surprise I noticed what appear to be reverse design elements clearly visible on the obverse! What do you guys think? *** Moved by Staff to a more appropriate forum. ***

Appears so! Nice coin : )
I'm surprised the dealer didn't spot something like this.

Thanks guys! Which TPG would you all suggest I send it to for encapsulation with attribution? And what would should I state its numismatic to be on the submission form? I've searched for others like this, including other denominations and cannot find much of anything as dramatic as this coin from the same era. I've seen subtle, barely noticeable clashes on circulated common date coins that have sold for very decent money. So any and all opinions on its possible value would be greatly appreciated!

Awesome score! I've not submitted any coins for atribution, I'll let some more experianced folks chime in on that. I trust you'll not be returning this coin? LOL

I hate to dredge up an old thread but I need some opinions and suggestions about a serious situation that this dime has gotten me into. Short story: Coin sold on ebay to buyer October 2015. Buyer left positive feedback stating that he loved the coin. Almost six months later (03/16/16) he emails me stating it was a normal coin and not an error. Never asks for refund though. Next day he informs me that he sent the coin into NGC for grading with attribution and upon checking its status online he noticed a note on the coin stating that it was not an error and would not be attributed. Still never mentions a refund. Day 3: Sends email with pic of a NGC slabbed 1920-P MS62 FB and plastic wrapper it was enclosed in with a sticker that read "Variety Attibution" - variety not recognized by NGC / too minor. Still hasn't asked for any compensation. Day 4: I check my backlog of emails and discover the buyer filed a claim against me through PayPal claiming item received was not item in the listing 2 days before he sent the first email through ebay. Later that day my personal bank account attached to my paypal acct ends up overdrawn by nearly $50. It turns out, PayPal decided to put a hold on the amount of the transaction that was rightfully paid to me six months ago by the buyer and since I only had a few bucks in my pp acct. they pulled it from my personal bank by default, which was also lacking adequate funds, thus causing my first ever overdrawn bank acct. They did this without notifying me in any way until after the damage was done. Anyways you get the gist of it. I won't say anymore because it only gets worse. What I need to know is: In your opinion, would you consider this a major die clash? (Or at least significant enough to receive attribution as such?)

I think it's a neat clash but I wouldn't consider it major.

I like it, would look great in my collection , have the guy send you back the coin and refund him the money, you end up with the coin graded for free. If you do get the coin back I would be interested in purchasing it.
