GERMANICVS Pillar of the Community Germany 1849 Posts	Posted 05/24/2015 12:11 pm How would you gentlemen grade this New Orleans quarter? It is in one of the old Anacs capsules, which I have often heard were rather conservative graded. Sorry for the poor photos. Photos through plastic continue to be a challenge for me. As an interesting side-story, the Red Book describes a hoard of 1840 and 1841 'O' mint quarters made in New Orleans in 1982. The so-called New Orleans Bank find, uncovered by a bulldozer (presumably during road construction work), consisted 3 wooden boxes containing among older spanish coins, also a large number of these quarters. I wonder if this coin originated from that hoard. Report this Post to the Staff
