I got my 1862 S Seated dime I found last month back from the graders today. It got slabbed with AU Details Enviornmental Damage. I could not be more happier with it. Thanks everyone for looking!

Great find! I'd have tried NCS - NGC for conservation as opposed to PCGS on this coin.
Rest in Peace

Glad you're happy with the results -- although finding it had to be pretty amazing.

Thank you jbuck,childofthewheat,exoguy.
Silverstackerkid, I'm not sure. I don't keep up with TPG too much. I just had this one slabbed because of the condition and rarity of this coin.
Buddy, its an experience I'll probably never forget. I'm just glad to have it back.

There sure is a lot of nice detail on that coin.

Nice to know there are still nice coins left out there to find.

I don't see why they just couldn't place some grade on it.

Thank you thedollarman and GR58.

Just carl, I was wondering the same thing, but I'm not too worried about it. For 2 reasons...

1) I found it in the ground.

2) I feel a number grade is irrelevent for this coin in this condition. It speaks for itself, just look at the numbers. Let's say we place this on the low end of AU (AU 50 to be exact), with NGC and PCGS combined, there are only 14 other examples that graded higher than this one. That's pretty good if you ask me.
