Everybody, except for one person (hopefully somebody deserving) missed the deal of a lifetime today. I wish I hadn't. There was ... an 1877, 1871, 1872, an unc RB 1901 and a BU red 1886 type 2 ... which sold for ... drum roll please ... $14.95 plus shipping. I had to settle for the "consolation prize", a small lot of nickels which had, among others 2 BU 1913 type 1 Buffalo nickels, a 1927 buffalo bu, an 1883 no cents also BU, and a 45-P bu, all for 31 dollars delivered. There are a dozen or so coins in total. I was sick. That IHC lot will never happen again. I still can't believe it did. Chance Edited by Chancellor Sutler 05/27/2015 8:20 pm

What makes you think it was all legit? How do you know it was just a common and no such coins were really for sale? Sometimes, if your talking about ebay, anything not real is possible.

Buyer protection covers cases of fraud. That siad ... I've never bought anything listed that I didn't receive .... and I've bought hundreds of lots over the past few years. This is just a seller with "no clue". I'll post pics of my nickel lot when the coins get here next week.

You may be right ploopy, but I really don't think they've been cleaned. I've become such an expert at taking lousy pictures that I have a pretty good feel for it. If they're cleaned, they missed a spot of green on the reverse of one of the 1913s. These have been poorly stored. I also bought the other lot of nickels with the BU 1910 Liberty nickel and 16 others. All you need to do to pull up the Indian heads is to view the seller's other auctions ... and on their seller page ... along the left hand side there is a link to "sold" listings. They show up right away. Chance

Don't see the 1877 Indian in the sold listing.

That is just crazy ! I checked the prices of his other coin lots and most are way more than I would pay.

I wouldn't feel sick over it just yet.
I find this pretty hard to believe that whoever the bidder was will actually receive them. This guy has a long blurb about coin grading/pricing in his auctions, so he must have some knowledge of what they're worth.
I feel that the most likely scenario is they didn't mean to set a buy it now at $15. He's had plenty of other sold coin listings in the hundreds of dollars. Unless he was just feeling really generous that day, it seems too good to be true.
All we can do is wait for the feedback, if any, from whoever that buyer is.

Well, the Seller has left "Feedback" for the coin lots.
Now whether he has shipped them is a whole different story!
