There is no Cud next to UNITED that needs to be there for all genuine 1888/7.

In this condition, the Cud might not be visible. But regardless, I don't see an overdate, just PMD on the last "8". Looks like something hit it.

The Cud would not be there on the coin if it was struck before the Cud appeared on the die. The die was once a lovely new die.

Need closer pictures but it is possible. It is weird but I have seen a lot more 1888/7 IHCs showing up over the last 1-2 years. I guess more and more people are looking for it.

None appear to be 88/87, should be able to see the 7 barely poking out on the bottom of the last 8. Jeff
