Thank you Cascade for posting this. Some may never get a chance to get out here. For those of you who can, it is an awesome experience. Make sure to go to Virginia City while out there :-)

Thanks vermont. I really wanted to capture the experience for others for that very reason. While I couldn't photograph everything I did get all the coin stuff plus other things pertaining to the old west, Virginia City, silver, etc. All will be posted here after all the coin stuff... I took so many pictures they probably thought I was casing the joint... I even had my long ape arms through the jail bars to get the best shots I could of the condition of the collection that will be posted later I even met a guy from Texas there and chatted him up. He was very nice and seemed to be more of a coin stacker than a numismatist yet so I gave him the 411 on ccf and invited him in

Thanks so much for sharing these amazing pics with us. I only have one CC coin presently - an 1875 CC half I bought as a kid. Its amazing to think that this coin may have actually been in the same room as some of the items in your pics, and what this half could tell us if it could talk.

This is a great thread Cascade. Not only do I collect vicariously through others, I travel to awesome numismatic destinations as well.

Yep, That's it. If I could walk away with anything from that facility, that would be it.

Wow very nice pics Cascade. Thanks for sharing. Makes me want to go out and buy a CC Morgan. Not that anyone would have to twist my arm to hard to do it

Thanks for sharing, one of the trips I still need to make! Very nice photos, that Mint Registry book is cool, I'd love to spend a day reading it.
