I'm new to this and I was left a container of coins I've been looking through.this one is strange because it is incased in this plexiglass square. please give me any advice on this item.there were scratches all over the outside so I cleaned up with nail polish remover and try to take some pictures while it was wet to try and make it as clear as possible this is the best I can do.

There were no 1960 San Francisco pennies made. If there was a mint mark at all, it would be a "D" very prominently positioned under the date.

It looks MS, but those pictures are too blurry to tell.
Rest in Peace

I thought I saw an S on the rim in the fifth pic. But it's just a couple of little dings.

As for the plexiglass ... there's probably an entire site somewhere devoted to How To Clear Up Scratches or something like that. But I would think that some polishing compound -- like the kind tha is used to polish headlights -- might be useful. Or maybe toothpaste. It depends upon how much you care about the item.

It is a nifty little novelty item.
