I had a hard time getting a good picture of this one, pictures might not do it justice.
Heavily frosted, like a Tim bit.

there is a lot of very minor non distracting chatter on this one...in my eyes it is a very strong 64+++ or a weak 65.

definitely a 65 by todays standards though...

It seems to have more MS or AU 1935 dollar than F VF or XF do you know why ?...

Looks like a 65 to me.

You may however get ICCS in a strict grading mood and receive only a 64 for it.

There's a few marks in the obverse fields that may bring it down to a 64.

To partially answer your question, when the price of silver skyrocketed to about $40.00
an ounce, collectors and dealers turned in the lower grade silver dollars
for bullion value. This affected all years.
So a short answer is that they ended up in the melting pot.

plus these were a first year dollar and our first commem. I'm sure they were very popular in their day(they still are) and many were put away, there are many lower grades out there but it is an easy coin in gem and even 66, with ms-67s still being found in the wild.
