She is an ugly, ugly girl and I would not date her. BUT I think she is an HONEST girl and still deserves respect without accusations that's she's some counterfeit hussy.

Mox, IF she is a strike error or better yet a contemporary counterfit she is hot, beautiful and Gorgeous all wrapped up into one!

I think what you have is a period contemporary counterfeit that ended up circulating. I do believe it's still silver, but the details just do not line up.

I don't like tattoos on my blowup dolls Exo BUT on the real deal Does anyone know who the leading authority on contemporary counterfit morgans is? I pinged Steve so I'm sure he'll chime in but is there a renowned contemporary morgan specific specialist? And how are they traded with authority as to their authenticity? Do either of the big 3 slab contemporary counterfits?

Looks like a regular circulated Morgan to me. Not counterfeit.

Ok guys, I've done a cursory search on contemporary counterfits to try and educate myself a bit and info on morgans is sparse at best. Most are about capped bust halves and Seated dimes though but I found this site about contemporary counterfit silver dollars and how to tell them apart and I must say my coin matches the diagnostics on this site very well. Take a look and read abut halfway down for morgans... Whatcha think? From the mushiness to the reeding I THINK I definitely have one! http://meridiancoin.com/contemporar...ollar-guide/

Well worth a read. Thanks for the link. This Morgon is certainly suited to hot debate, although I still wouldn't date her. Well, maybe with counter stamps...

I'm actually tempted to list some utterly ludicrous thing I'd do if this coin were real, but I'm not sure I'd believe anyone who told me it was.

The link is a good read, but most everything he is discussing and illustrating are modern fakes not contemporary counterfeits.

Ya, I got that when I reread it after I posted it. That title was misleading but that Ellis Island was a dead giveaway.
Conder, are we still thinking contemporary silver counterfit? I assume you stand by your fitst post. If this were yours what would your next step be? This thing will fool collectors let alone the general public.

What's the weight? To a tenth of a gram if possible.

Here you go westcoin... read Conder101's first post too Can't wait what to see what you think as I respect your opinion I wonder why this isn't as hot a topic as it should be? And I also wonder where Steve is, maybe he didn't get my email? I'd of thought he'd be all over this
