So, does that mean it can't be an RP?

The medal is not proof, so how can it be reverse proof?

Well, the set will go from Memphis to Atlanta. From Atlanta it will pass me and go to Charlotte. Finally from Charlotte westward to me.

I guess it is better than being a block head.

(That is not directed at anyone, it was something we all used to say thanks to Charlie Brown.)

My order that I squeaked in yesterday morning at 7:31 now shows to be shipped. Tracking number has been provided, too!

I feel very fortunate and very lucky in light of all the problems.

Now just have to hope that FedEx and the Post Office don't mess things up and lose it! That would be a real bummer!

Someone posted this on Mint News Blog...

(Its only a theory I believe)

The Mint's catalog website runs in the cloud using a system called Demandware. You can verify this yourself. Go to any current product page and right-click on the product's image, select the option "Open in New Tab/Window" and then examine the URL in the address field of the newly opened tab/window.

Demandware's cloud currently supports hundreds of online retailers besides the Mint and it's designed so that it automatically allocates capacity to client sites as neede, easily scaling up to support sudden spikes in traffic, such as those incurred during Black Friday and Green (Cyber) Monday. The Mint's activity spikes are due to big product drops, which are usually spread throughout the year. So, when ordinary retailers have activity spikes on Black Friday, for instance, the Mint's activity is normal and When the Mint has a spike in activity during a big product drop, ordinary retailers' activity is normal. The bottom line is that Demandware can support a crazy high number of Mint transactions during a big product drop. The Mint's new catalog system is pretty much state-of-the-art online retailing technology.

However, there is a fly in the ointment. All credit card payments to the Federal government (except those to the IRS) must be cleared through Pay.gov which is operated by the Bureau of the Fiscal Service. I suspect that Pay.gov does NOT use state-of-the-art technology. From Pay.gov's perspective, the sudden deluge of transaction requests directed at it from the Mint's catalog system last Tuesday was probably almost indistinguishable from a Denial of Service cyber attack.

If a deficiency in Pay.gov processing is, indeed, the root cause of Tuesday's problems, then fixing Pay.gov is probably not in the cards in the near future. Instead, a work-around implemented in the Mint's catalog system is far more feasible as a quick fix. It might not be too hard, for instance, to add a throttle to the Mint software's pipe to Pay.gov which could slow the rate of transaction requests to a speed which can be handled successfully by Pay.gov.

Interesting, you may be onto something there, Cascade. I had two portals open @ 12N with two different accounts, mine and my sister's. Mine experienced the time outs and other DOS problems because it was handled traditionally, with the CC drop downs and never successfully completed until the product is unavailable page at 12:09. My sister's account never had a problem from selecting the product to final check out, including accepting the T&C check out box. The difference, I paid with a $200.00 single gift certificate that covered the $120.85 cost of the two sets. I'll wager that hardly anyone during that run accessed the GC database to pay for the sets. In the short term, I anticipated the outage based on the BIN presales which were over $200 a set by the weekend. Got two sets instead of zero in the nick of time (12:08pm).

Early reports of sets in hand sound like they are in better shape than the Trumans?

So I just got off the phone with NGC and was told it would cost $30 per coin to get them graded?
I have 6 sets of these coins so if I was looking to sell these for profit and not collect, I'm thinking it's better to just sell them raw rather than hoping to catch a 70?
My logic, please tell me if I'm wrong, remember I'm looking for just flipping these coins weighing the time and profit ratio.
1. Cost for 6 sets was about $360
2. Cost for getting all 12 coins (6 sets) graded would cost $360
3. If I got lucky and get one 70, I can sell it for let's say $1100-1500 and sell the 5 remaining sets for about $240.
4. This will leave me with a profit of about $1980.
BUT, if I don't get any 70 and sell all 6 sets for about $240 each set. I will make profit of $720.

Or just go with the safe way and sell all 6 sets raw and make about $1080 profit.

Which would you guys recommend for me?

+1
If you bought six sets directly from the mint or employed shill buyers to get them for you, then you're purposefully violating the household limit set by the mint (which is set to ensure fair and equitable distribution of mint products). That's unethical and a crappy thing to do. Buying within the household limits simply to flip isn't unethical, but it is pouring salt in the wounds of some here who were not so lucky. Of course if you purchased four of the sets off ebay or elsewhere other than the mint, then none of what I wrote above applies.

@Debrajc

Did they mention anything about billing for the sets?

One of the reasons you may have received that email regarding your order and its "On Hold" status is the Mint couldn't charge you for the sets due to some billing issue.

@Atlas........That was their first question and the charge showed up right away on my debit card. The billing and shipping address match exactly also. The charge is still there as "pending" but I know from the past after 3 days it will drop so if they don't run the actual charge through before midnight tonight the pending charge will drop. And also, there is plenty of dollars in the account to cover the charge several times so that's not an issue. The customer service rep even put me on hold yesterday and spoke with her supervisor. She didn't know either. It's just a mystery and no one can / will fix it. I only ordered 1 order of two sets, and added on the uncirculated P & D Presidential dollars and I had the 2015 proofs but not that set. $137.80 total. I see that even those that have ordered since the initial launch have their orders already shipped. But I will add this...if my order doesn't get shipped and / or I miss some of the next ones I will just do with gaps in the collection. There is NO way I am going to ebay and pay over $200 for a set for sure. I will do without
