I personally hate this politically correct medal:
http://www.usmint.gov/mint_programs...ationalMedal
IMO it is/was a slap in the face to the people forced to endure unspeakable loss in their lives. Invoking a warm, fuzzy feeling with a oin design is a dishonorable downplaying of the tragic loss of lives. Personally I appreciate the Pearl Harbor mindset for a heinous attack on innocent US citizens.

Google "Pearl Harbor Memorial coins" and look at images.

These Pearl Harbor Memorials commemorate the victims by making sure people know the event was from a senseless, criminal act of war on US innocents. When we gloss these horrors over, it makes it much easier to forget the reality and to try our best to remain vigil against such acts. The warm fuzzy feeling is not what is needed to make sure we don't forget the horrors and senseless loss of life.

Here's a good read for you guys on the wtc vaults with storage estimates and possible theft. (Nothing to do with Slabbing these though)

That reads like another Fort Knox there is no gold (which there probably isn't any left) and 9/11 was used as a cover to jack the gold and silver like the current paper precious metals market. Wasn't there a Die Hard movie like this

Ok, back on topic. At least the US Mint 9/11 medal is .999 and not 90%.

Interesting PCGS holder - so please humour this uninformed Canadian - why is there no grade on the coin?

Collector's Universe slabbed coins have no numerical grade
PCGS slabbed coins have a numerical grade.
How many millions have been made from the sale of these coins, which before that tragic day, were bullion.

That would be Die Hard 3 "With a Vengance" the one with Sam jackson. I thought of the similarities too as I was reading the article

It's a challenge coin. I wonder if PCGS would grade it?
