I have added extra hard drives inside the computer I use, that way I can just transfer data to them quickly, anytime I want. If a hard drive fails, the others are still okay. If I have a complete computer melt down ,like a fried motherboard, the hard drives are usually still fine.
Adding an extra hard drive or two isn't difficult if you know what you are doing and it is considerably more inexpensive than external hard drives. Most computers are already set up to accommodate an extra drive, all you need to do is install one. You can get one from an old computer or buy a new one. I have several extras around here if anyone needs one, email me and we'll work it out. lincolncentsonline@gmail.com
