I thought this would be an interesting topic. I know people collect birthday notes, but does anyone here actually have a bill featuring their very own birthday? This is probably not an overly common occurrence to say the least. If you do have one of these, don't forget to share how you came across it; whether it was in circulation, a purchase, or a gift.

In case you were wondering when my birth day is (and want to find me my birth note ) it's 03/01/1996. I don't have any, sadly.

First I've heard of this, but seems so obvious. I just might start looking.

I've been casually looking for mine for a longtime.... 10311949. No success so far.
I'll get one eventually...hopefully before I croak.

I've found a grand total of 1 birthday note, although I don't really look for them. I will give it to whosever birthday it is- PM me if you were born in 1626. If anyone finds mine, any form of 7/29/2000, I am willing to pay for it (within reason). For that matter, if anyone else posts their birthdays, I'll try and keep an eye out, however slim the chances.

I'll check, but I don't believe it's October 4th.
Rather than thinking about it as a tiny chance that you would find your birthday note, consider that for every one you find, there are hundreds of thousands of people with that exact birthday.

I don't have one, but remember, you have three options for birthdays.
I'll make one up to make it clear.
USA: 01/31/1976 UK: 31/01/1976 China: 1976/01/31
Three possibilities makes it much easier. Same date, different order

I just tried an image search for my birthday serial number, just to see if anyone had that number- for 07292000 I got a bunch of pictures of people, for 29072000 I got no results, and for 20000729 I got dozens of pictures of race cars.

I wonder if finding your birthday note would be more likely or less likely than hitting the lottery? I just looked in my wallet and I had 11 notes. NONE of them could have been anyone's birthday even using augsburger's approach to looking at them 3 different ways.

Well, you need 4 digits in a row that form a number 2015 or under (20.15% chance), 2 digits that form a number 12 or less (12% chance), and 2 digits that form a number 31 or less (31% chance). That's about a 2.25% chance over all, accounting for all three forms. If you change this to account for months with less that 31 days and for leap years, that number goes to about 2.21%. And that's just if it's a birthday not at all- if you want one specific birthday, such as your own, the chance is 3 in a hundred million (0.000003%).

I probably had my birthday note in my hand at some point but didn't realize it. Then, I probably spent it on a lottery ticket that I didn't win!

I think winning the lottery would occur first, because with a birthday note you not only need the right numbers but they also need to be in a correct order. Finding a needle in a field of haystacks would be easier.
