I found this one in a roll a while back. At first I thought it was a beat-up casino coin at first glance, but it has full reading, and the details do not appear to be hammered like a casino coin.

Weak strike, worn dies, or Struck Through Grease obverse and reverse?

I have not found a Greaser with both sides affected before.

Still scratching. Grease filled or weak strike. Thanks, Doug.

The rims are strong, so that makes me think a Grease Filled Die. Normal weight is 11.34 grams, so it is close. I've see examples with both sides affected with grease.

I'm going with a Greaser. Theoretically, if it had been struck this weakly, would the edge be affected? It seems like the metal wouldn't expand into the reeds in the collar as well as a normal strike.
