I noticed what looks like four tail feathers (style sort of like the Eagle tail feathers on a Kennedy half dollar) above the falcon. You may need to zoom in on the picture a little to see that it is raised and not a dent. I found it interesting because there were no Eagle reverse quarters during this time to make a tail feather looking clash. That's why I possibly think it could be from a Kennedy half dollar. Take a look and let me know what you think. Thanks. :)

Thanks for the input. I can see how it looks like the reeding of another coin hit it.
Rest in Peace

If you're examining your coins closely you're going to see a lot of those marks.

You got a good photo of it.

with the consensus. The raised portion is a pressure ridge.

Looks to me like the reeding was struck into the die from another coin, hard to tell from the pic
Can you take it from a different angle?

It is damage on the coin, not on the die. If it were damage on the die, it would be raised on the coin. It is incuse on the coin. The reeds are on the inside of the collar. So the possibility of this happing is almost nil.
