As stated, what is good about the 1969, Roosevelt dime. If I'm correct its listed in REV. "error transitional" a variety? Question, is it a rarity, scarce, listed in top 100's? What about premium does it have or hold value beside its origin (comparison) will be awesome and appreciated. I've "googled" enlisted but not specific in status.

Be so as it may concerning 1969 Rosie, if it does or doesn't apply into any of the following it does not matter. I'm happy to have one. Just my thought's and opinion again thank you guy's for given the time.

The dime on the right appears to be the Reverse of 1968 with 2 deep valleys in the flame of the torch.

The CPG mentions these are rare, but offers no prices for the RDV-002. The box is marked n/a. So they much not be sure of value.

But they do mention the BU coin as a value of $1, but no other prices for less than that grade in the RVD-001.

Thanks you guys I appreciated that was very helpful. I'm always looking into my coins I don't have a lot but I have a lot that needs to be gone through and because I'm a novice only 2 years in the "Hobby" some of you will know now that my knowledge is limited. So, I hope y'all don't mind my postings and questions in case it may become annoying in the near future know that it's not intentional that I'm honestly seeking advice. The "hobby" is vast so much to learn thanks again you guys.

I understand and sympathize with that. I don't think that you can be any more annoying than I have been in the past! I am sure there are some who would tell you that I still am! I believe in asking lots of questions and I still do, no matter how stupid they make me look!I have found the patience of members of this forum to be long and I have appreciated that. I have learned many things here!

I would rather show why I feel what forms my opinion, than to just say yes or no. So I use images and become long winded at times. But it is honor to help in teaching others. Many are copying me and that make me happy. Because I feel I'm making a difference here. My image count is almost 4,500 so I usually have something to show what I see on a coin. So don't feel stupid, your questions may half many more that have wondered the same things you've asked. Hang in there.

Numisma, you couldn't had said it better! Wise words, must be coming from a wise man... Coop, you are the genius on this forum it has become obvious. I would follow in your stead too except your shoes I cannot fill. In reference to what you've said your absolutely correct in your methods. It's the best approach. The techniques you employ differentiates you from the other enthusiast's. If I were to classified it would be in this order.. student, teacher, instructor, Mentor..

Actually, coop, I'd like to see what you have to say about this thread:

We're debating whether SSK just bought a 1909 VDB Matte Proof for $40.

Has anyone else seen the reverse 68 on other dimes besides the 1969, 1970 and 1970-D?

My understanding is that only those dates will have the two strong strikes on the flames of the torch, but I have seen in other dates between 1970-1980. Or are the rarer ones only in 1960, 1970 and 1970-D?

I just read that the reverse 68 are only rare on 1969, 1970 and 1970-D, and that reverse was used on later years.

So I have to tell you, I've accumulated about 300 reverse of 68 1969-1970 dimes in the last 5 years. I've only found 2 1969 Reverse of 68 examples searching through many tens of thousands of dimes in that period. Flat out, the 69 is super tough to locate in any grade, the 1970-D is plentiful. The only problem is, the popularity of the variety, let alone the series, hasn't caught up in popularity with the other denominations. Kind of sad actually.

I found one accidentally thw other day. 1969 p rdv-002. I wish dimes were more popular. I haven't been able to find any updated population counts anywhere on line.
