14-D worth a couple grand. Must be a higher grade..wow.
Unless I read the "article" if you could call it that wrong I don't think the club dropped a 1914D or a 1955 Doubled Die Lincoln or a 1943 copper Lincoln.
"And a double-die New York quarter could be worth a couple thousand, as well. But the big one to watch out for is the rare 1943 copper penny. Depending on its condition, it could be worth a cool million."
I think the author was pointing out if you look check your change you may find a valuable coin that has been in circulation prior to the dropping of the numbered nickels.
It seems that they are giving out cash prizes and I hope the logged the date and mintmark the correlates to each number to prevent scammers.
The Racine Coin Club around here did the same thing a couple of years ago where they edge lettered some
Buffalo nickels and then put them into circulation and if you found one you got free admission to the show.
