i was just reviewing some of my older images, from about when I joined this forum site. I think this is a scan - which is what I was trying to use when I first started. anywat earlier today - I read a post refering to what tyes of things to collect. this set was taken from my own - previously "collected/hoarded" coins. im sure its probably not all that interesting to moast, but it seems to me like a pretty "cool" set of coins. just sharing a small bit if my stuff...

That's a great looking set - has that "old time" look that makes coin collecting so interesting. Now you just need to add a Capped Bust Half. Well, a Reeded edge and Non-Reeded edge one. Oh, and all the Seated varieties. Plus, one of those Reeded edge ones that says 50 Cents on it would also be cool. And that's how you get hooked!

The proof may seem out of place, but it is still a decent looking set.

Hey, that's cool! For being such a fan of half dollars, I'm ashamed to admit that I don't have either of the 1st two in the photo! I will have to correct that! Noted on my 2016 Numismatic goals.

Very Cool! I just bought by first Barber Half today. Been looking at them for a while.
It's interesting looking at them all together like this that each time it changed design they looked the opposite way as the last design. I wonder if this is on purpose. I once read on the mint site that there is no law in place to make our coins upside down on the back to front but that all coins do it and they are not sure where it originated (my theory is that its just because it's the opposite way that England was doing it, the crown we rebelled from) But is there a reason Franklin looks one way and Kennedy the other and so forth? Or is it just design preference?

Very Nice! I do not have a seated half doller either and yes, I would definitely change out the Kennedy for a 1964 silver. Awesome!
